Celebrating another year in the life............

After the harrowing events of this week, I was just glad to spend an uneventful birthday with my children and a close friend. We went to the movies, and hung out with my family for a few hours. Again my date fell through this year, and I was somewhat relieved that the guy did cancel out because I really was not feeling the connection anyway, so there no loss. I did enjoy being with my mother, brothers and my sisters. We got there first, and the rest of them just popped up. As usual, my siblings rarely remember my birthday, until my Mom reminded them, but I appreciated the fact that they did wish me a Happy Birthday. Despite the little disappointment (Hey, I was looking forward to being wined and dined..) it turned out to be a nice evening.
